Julie is a wonderful and gifted artist forever trying new mediums, techniques and
subjects. Though florals are her forte, she embraced my request for a large octopus
painting (6 ft x 4 ft) with enthusiasm, and the final painting is more beautiful than I ever
imagined! It sits proudly in my stairwell overlooking the Adriatic Sea. We collaborated
closely and the technique, color, and subject were exactly what I envisioned. I also
purchased a beautiful watercolor painting of artichokes that hangs in my entryway. I just
wish I had more walls to fill with her artwork.

For several years, I have followed Artwork by Julie and have purchased many
pieces as gifts. I then commissioned Julie to create something that would
become the focal point of my home. Given creative carte blanche, she created a 5
ft x 5 ft magnificent center of a flower in oil pastels. The final piece is a series of
12x12 individual canvases that required hours to install, and Julie assisted every

My journey with Julie’s art began when I bought my first piece, a beautiful woodland scene, from the Beverly Arts Fest. Then during my home renovation, I found myself with a few blank walls that needed something special to fill them.
Although I had never considered commissioning art before – it always seemed a bit intimidating – I decided to take the plunge. I sent Julie some pictures of my rooms, color preferences, and measurements. I also shared some general thoughts on what I might like.
